31st India International Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan

The India International Trade Fair is one of the biggest fair in the country. The range of goods available at the fair is extensive with both National and International presence.  The main entrance is gate no. 7. Jammu and Kashmir pavilion, nearest to the gate  abounds in Kashmiri shawls and dry fruits. Gujarat and Bihar Pavilion stands very close to each other from here. 

Maharashtra Pavilion is an attractive building with many carvings done on the walls. Popular items offered here are Idols of Lord Ganesha and leather sandals and bags. 

The Rajasthan Pavilion is one of the most colorful and complete pavilion in the trade Fair.  The range of goods available  are intriguing and of wide arrays from sandals, saris, turban, paintings, furniture, decorative items etc.

The colorful ceilings at the Rajasthan Pavilion is best done in Rajasthani style painting.  It makes the entire set up grand and irresistibly charming. It is worth a visit even for the decor and ambiance. Rajasthan pavilion attracts huge crowds. 

Delhi pavilion not only showcase its rich products but entertain crowds with  traditional live music performance.  Souvenir Shops and decorative items are popular here. There are products from Tihar Jail inmates up for sale at the Pavilion. 

Thematic display - Indian handicrafts 'The Magic of Gifted hands' has a store  opposite UP pavilion.   this place has  artist from different parts of India and their handicrafts goods range from woodwork to painting. It is a good place to see masters at work. 

Pavalion from States like Punjab, Kerala, Nagaland, Manipur, and Tripura  displays their best  local handicraft and hadloom products. There are lots of decorative items too. Floral items are of wide range and they are in themselves a different market.

The Trade fair started from 14 November and goes till 27 November. But it opens to public only  from 19 on-wards.

Some things you should Know:
- The International Pavilion is at Hall no. 18. Watch out for stores from Thailand, Indonesia, Afghanistan, South Africa and Myanmar. 
- There are food courts in almost all State Pavilions and they serve local cuisines apart from popular food items. Packed food and Pickles are available in abundance. 
- The entry fee is Rs 40/head 
- The Fair opens at 9:30 am- 7:30 pm. 
- Nearest metro Station is Pragati Maidan. Then ask for Gate no. 7. 
- Entry tickets are available at gate No 1 and 2. It is also available inside the Pragati Maidan Metro Station.
